The Flourishing at School survey is based on the most up-to-date knowledge of wellbeing and is suitable for secondary school students aged 11- 18, as well as staff of all ages in primary or secondary schooling.
The survey was validated in collaboration with researchers from Murdoch University (Perth, Western Australia) in two studies comprising a total of 15 Australian secondary schools and more than 7,500 students. The results indicate excellent reliability and validity against a number of established measures of positive and negative mental health. The normative sample now boasts approximately 10,000 survey responses allowing for wellbeing comparisons against specific cohort and sex norms. You can view the assessment manual here.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete online and therefore will have minimal interference with normal classes.
We thank you for allowing your child to participate in the survey. If you have a significant concern about your child completing the survey, you can elect for them not to take part by contacting the school directly.
